| According to Alisa Buckner, merchandise and marketing director for Dunbrooke, the color red is gaining in popularity in the workwear niche. Pictured here is the company’s Cumberland jacket (style 8499), which is made from 12-ounce brushed cotton canvas. |
For Independence, Mo.-based
Dunbrooke, varied color and style offerings are what customers are seeking, according to Alisa Buckner, merchandise and marketing director. The company is adding chocolate brown to its color palette for jackets. For workwear, red is an up-and-coming color, says Buckner, as the company now offers the Cumberland (style 8499), its most popular workwear jacket, in red. “Vibrant colors are the trend in polos,” she adds. “There is a demand for Carolina blue, orange and green grass, which are all color options for our new Reebok Horizontal Texture Polo.”
For Dunbrooke, another area of growth is brand name products. The company carries an exclusive line of Reebok caps, bags, fleece, polos and jackets. “By co-branding products, companies can not only promote their brand, they also can boost their image by associating their company with a brand name such as Reebok,” Buckner says.
With the current economy, Dunbrooke offers its Dunbrooke EveryDay line that features items — jackets, knits, fleece and wovens — for $10.95 or less. This represents a definite shift in the market to cost-efficient, quality goods. The compay’s latest addition to this collection is the Compass Packable Jacket (style 8006). — H.H.
